Micah Loyd Announces Campaign for Brevard County Commission District 1

Micah Loyd has officially announced his campaign for Brevard County Commission District 1.

A lifelong North Brevard resident, Micah grew up in the area and attended Apollo Elementary, Jackson Middle School, and Titusville High School. After graduating from the University of North Florida in 2001, he continued building his career and community involvement here at home.

Micah has been a State Certified General Contractor since 2002 and is a second-generation business owner at Loyd Contracting, where he has served as owner since 2014. Through his work in construction and business, he has gained hands-on experience with local projects, budgets, planning, infrastructure, and working with government agencies to get things done.

He has also served as a Commissioner at Port Canaveral for the last 10 years. During that time, he has focused on responsible financial policies, protecting community interests, supporting commercial fishing, improving recreation access, and keeping local priorities part of the conversation.

Micah said he decided to run because he has seen how important strong leadership is for North Brevard. After the loss of space jobs in 2011, the community faced real challenges. Today, with record growth happening across the area, he believes District 1 needs leadership that can balance growth with quality of life.

His campaign will focus on job growth, infrastructure, protecting taxpayers, responsible growth, protecting the Indian River Lagoon, listening to residents, public safety, small business support, and putting North Brevard first.

Supporters can get involved by volunteering, requesting a yard sign, sharing the campaign, attending events, or signing up for updates.

Yard signs can be picked up at:

3838 S. Hopkins Ave

Titusville, FL 32780

Upcoming campaign events and important dates will be added soon.
